Drugmakers Atlana and Wyeth have sued Schwarz Pharma to stop the rival company from making a generic form of Protonix (pantoprazole). Schwarz Pharma filed an application with U.S. regulators a few months ago to begin making generic Protonix, but Atlana and Wyeth say they have exclusive patent rights on the acid-reflux drug until July 2010.
