Peptic Ulcer Surgeries

A review of 24 studies found that patients taking drugs such as
Prevacid, Prilosec, and Protonix, for life-threatening peptic
ulcers were at a lower risk of bleeding, surgery, and death, than
those taking no heartburn drugs or over-the-counter drugs. The
analysis did not compare the efficacy of the drugs to one another.
