The average American eats about 150 pounds of sugar per year, one expert says, and many are addicted to the simple carb. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, a board-certified internist and author of "Beat Sugar Addiction Now!," says that the body was never intended to eat this much sugar, and he suggests that knowing what kind of sugar addict you are may help you break the addiction.
