The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists has warned that there may soon be a shortage of Prevacid I.V., the intravenous formula of Prevacid. The drug's manufacturer, TAP Pharmaceuticals, says it has not been able to keep up with patient demand for the medicine. People who take Prevacid I.V. may be able to get a one-month supply--rather than the one-week supply currently available--in order to avoid running out of the medicine while the drugmaker deals with the high demand.
