New tests begin for 'GI friendly' pain med

Drugmaker Horizon Therapeutics has begun new clinical trials for a so-called 'GI friendly' pain reliever. The new med, currently called HZT-501, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that combines ibuprofen and the active ingredient in Pepcid. It is intended to treat chronic pain, including osteoarthritis pain, without causing gastrointestinal damage. Read more »
