A recent study suggests that the acid reflux med Zegerid may control symptoms for 24 hours. The seven-day study compared Zegerid to Protonix and Prevacid. Researchers say that patients taking Zegerid were able to control their gastric pH level 43 percent longer than patients taking Protonix, and 22 percent longer than those taking Prevacid.
