Barrett's patients have same survival rates as overall population

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic say that patients who have Barrett's esophagus have the same survival rates as the overall population. The study, which followed Barrett's patients over three decades, found that the causes of death of the patients was comparable to the causes of death of a control sample from the 2000 U.S. census.
