Intestinal Gas Guide

Your symptoms suggest the possibility your digestion is impaired, a medical problem that is termed "malabsorption." Malabsorption may cause either persistent diarrhea, weight loss, yellow and oily stools with an exaggerated foul odor, or a combination of these symptoms. These symptoms may be related to your gas complaint.

Malabsorption is a serious problem because it prevents you from getting adequate nutrition.  Symptoms that suggest malabsorption require an evaluation by your physician.
