This is timely for me personally, having just lost my job. I was open and up front about my AD/HD with my coworkers and supervisors. At first they seemed to understand and be OK with it but over time I began to understand what the experts mean when they say "people will see what they want to see" in regard to AD/HD. It was a bitter experience and I will never again make this mistake. Sadly this was among a group of health care professionals. If prejudice is this prevalent among those who should know better, what can we expect from the general public?

Not only am I staying in the closet from now on, I'm keeping the door locked!
