Question of the Week: At What Age Did You Have Your Child Tested for ADHD?

By Eileen Bailey, Health Guide Tuesday, January 19, 2010

In the past, when speaking with parents of children with ADHD, many said they knew something was different about their child long before he or she was diagnosed with ADHD. Some mothers told me their child with ADHD was much more active in the womb than their children without ADHD.

My son was not diagnosed with ADHD until he was in middle school, but even so, I had taken him to the doctor at the age of two asking about hyperactivity. I knew, even if the doctors didn't agree with me.

My question this week is: When, as a parent, did you feel your child should be evaluated for ADHD?
