I have a child who benifit from this greatly , but am having no luck finding help for her as of yet . Her main trouble is APD, auditory proccessing disorder. Then you can add all the things under it that she has , ADHD , ODD , OCD, and being on the lowend spectrum of autism. She has social problems , some speech problems , ect... I would like to know if there is any help that we as parents can give at home ? We are currently looking for therapy in the Oklahoma City area . If anyone can help us I would greatly apperciate it . She has been kicked out of 2 schools , the last one she attended was the first to help in anyway . If you would like to hear more about her I would be glad to share , Im sure we are not the only ones dealing with any of these .

I take my daughter to a child psychologist and she beleives in cognitive threpay, you have to search for a psychologist and consult with them if their therapy includes Cognitive, behavioral, or psyhcotherapy. You have to be comfortable with the thrapist as well as the child. You need to ask questions pertaining to what you are looking for in a therapist and see if that therpist fits the bill for you. I am very pleased with my daughter's psychologist and I would reommend to anyone with a child who either has ADHD or autism, or OCD, etc to seek therapy along with medication. The medication will treat the symptoms but the child needs to understand what causes the symptoms to eventually be able to deal with the symtpoms on another level. Hope this helps. Good luck
