Thank you for sharing your perspective of living with ADHD as an adult. It always helps to read someone else's story to know that you are not alone and other people are experiencing some of the same emotions.
I recently read the book, "The Gifts of Adult ADHD" by Lara Honos-Webb, PhD, and there was information in the book about the emotional sensitivity of adults, how it can be both a benefit and a distraction, much as you have written.
I thought you might also be interested in an article Terry Matlen wrote:
