  • And the summer is half-way gone. How did this even happen? I feel like July went faster than any other month. Oh well. Let's dive in for the month that was, shall we?

Merely Me brought us an incredible, complete article with her Essential Back to School Guide.  Hopefully this will help parents lead their children into back-to-school mode that is so dreaded.  She also contributed pieces on the successes and failures of the rewards and punishments behavior management strategy, a report that changing schools is beneficial for ADHD children and the potential for robots as teachers for autistic children

Deborah Gray returned this month with a two-part series on her experiences with after-school programs.  Very insightful stuff, especially considering that Deborah is certainly not the only parent to experience these adventures.  (Part 1 and Part 2)

Eileen Bailey contributed in a non-traditional way this month.  She wrote two insightful articles: When Your ADHD Child Is Being Bullied and When Your ADHD Child is the Bully.  Finally, she spent a large portion of the month compiling the first part of our brand new ADHD Glossary.  Check it out and learn some new terms!

On the news front, a report was published that linked attention problems to video gaming.  Very interesting stuff.  What do you think?

Finally, we posted a new quiz about ADHD and Diet/Exercise, and a downloadable guide for parents: 10 Tips for Managing Your Child's ADHD in the Summer.  Print it out and take it with you!

Did I miss anything?  What's going on in the community?  How is everyone's summer progressing?

    See you in August!
