Over on our News page, we currently have a news abstract for the following story:
Adopted Kids at Greater Risk for ADHD, Anxiety.
In light of the recent Russian-adoption situation and our knowledge of ADHD, is this an accurate conclusion?
Is an adopted child more likely to have a chemical imbalance, leading to ADHD? Is an adoptive parent more likely to have a child tested? Are the mothers giving up children for adoption (generally young or from low-income situations) more likely to have children who actually have ADHD?
Is the link in the genetics or in the testing?
