Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com. ADHD can make it difficult to get through high school or to keep a job. There is, however, treatments available. You don't mention whether you have seen a doctor and undergone treatment for your ADHD symptoms. If not, that is certainly where you should start.
Medications can help to minimize some of the symptoms. Medications do not cure ADHD or make symptoms completely disappear, but they can help to increase focus and decrease hyperactivity and impulsiveness. For some people, the time on medication helps them to set up behavior programs to help them better understand and manage symptoms.Your doctor would be able to discuss the possibility of medication as part of your overall treatment plan.
You might also want to consider working with an ADHD coach. Coaches can help you in developing social skills, organizational skills or other areas you want to improve. Therapy can help in managing self-esteem issues that may have come about because of living with ADHD.
