Most families do have access to support for their ADHD children rearing problems. At night when they finally get them to sleep and the home work hell is over the thrown together dinner is cleaned up and the arguements with the other siblings on why the family outings cannot be done due to "YOUR BROTHER" have been dollled out! There are often duel diagnosed ADHD children with ODD and due to their stressors some OCD jumps in....yep Divorce and ADHD probobly on dads side and I have it...let's give me a whopping of anxiety too! Whether it's the missed work, denied insurance(several companies), bills due to both, or only having one knife in the house I'm not too sure. I'v taken to getting to know the school nurse and the ESE team by first names and having meeting eleven people in a room sure gives me support! So here's to you who can get ANYONE to babysit or a sibling who doesnt want to sell your ADHD child on the black market while your gone!!! Go and work on something...my guess is just thank god I have an older son who is as creative as I am. We can both run....either from our lil TIGER....OR....TO SAVE HIM...GOD BLESS....
anyone looking for stories or support....
I have an ERIC!
I'll be writing a book, he was a preemies due to diabetes and a blessing...to some...but not many, most people ask us to leave, not bring him or don't invite us at all.
Eric is an alternantive child, just like alternative rock music...he's only seven.

Dear Eric's Mom
I guess it takes a mother that has been there, done that to see the humor in what you have written. I know where you have been and how you feel, but I also see that you approach with humor.
It is also apparent that you look for the wonder in your son and can accept his differences, but also accept the reality that children with ADHD can be totally exhausting.
Let me assure you that our children do eventually grow up and learn to live on their own. Although there are many days you may wonder if that is even possible, the many successful adults with ADHD show that it can indeed, and does happen.
Hang in there and keep us posted on how everything is going.
