Dear Eric's Mom
I guess it takes a mother that has been there, done that to see the humor in what you have written. I know where you have been and how you feel, but I also see that you approach with humor.
It is also apparent that you look for the wonder in your son and can accept his differences, but also accept the reality that children with ADHD can be totally exhausting.
Let me assure you that our children do eventually grow up and learn to live on their own. Although there are many days you may wonder if that is even possible, the many successful adults with ADHD show that it can indeed, and does happen.
Hang in there and keep us posted on how everything is going.
