5 things I'm grateful for

1. I am grateful for My friends , family and especially my boyfriend, who manges to live with me and being so patient, so loving and incredibly understanding.

2. Having my self confidence back. after being diagnosed I have gotten my self confidence back, I accept that all my previous "flaws" are normal for me and I'm no longer trying to be someone else.

3. Starting school again, after two two failed attempts to go to university I am now studing interior design and loving it!

4. Being able to concentrate!!! It's amazing, I can sit for hours drawing, making beaded necklaces. I can sit with my paintings for an entire day, before I'd be distracted after 15 minutes.. I can watch movies for start to end, and I can do crosswords puzzles!!! I spent 2 hours almost every day during the holidays doing the medium to hard puzzles and when I had to stop, it was becouse I couldn't think of a word or it was dinnertime, and NOT becouse I was distracted!!

5. Ritalin, see # 3 and 4

6. I had to add a 6th point to this list, I am grateful for having such a good life, I think of all the people who are dirt poor, third world countries where children take care of their siblings because their parents died of aids or were killed in a war. natural disasters ten times worse than any we have ever seen and the people living there having no chance of ever getting their life back, not having any money to rebuild their homes, the country having no money to lend them, and the rest of the world forgetting about them as the cameras are turned of. No, I'm the most grateful for having such a good life.

5 new years resolutions

1. I am going to try to stop being so hard om my self, apologizing and feel guilty about stupid things. like thinking I have to do this and that, cook and clean and still have the energy to have sex with my boyfriend. sometimes I feel very guilty about the last one, it's not like i don't want to, I just don't have the energy. I feel very guilty even though he is so understanding and explain that even he as a boy doesn't want sex every night.

2. I will drink more water work-out more. enough said..;)

3. improve my drawing skills

4. stop spending so much money on stuff.. I buy fabrics and sow decorative pillows, I buy all sorts of candle holders, and lots of decortative objects that I like, new clothes for a night out, shoes, beads, anything that fits my mood that day..

5. sing and dance more

that's all, the list could have been so much longer, but I'm starting to lose my concentration here;)

 happy new year everyone.

What a wonderful post, thank you so much for sharing this. What great lists you have created, both the ones to be thankful for and the resolutions. I hope you read Terry's latest post, Living Authentically as she talks about learning to be yourself and accepting who you are, rather than trying to fit into someone else's idea of who we should be.

Thanks again for sharing, let us know how it is going.
