the way these meds did me, when worried about the stimulating part, was not enough for me to even notice. the only way i knew i'd even took it was i was up and doing things i'd put off forever. it does not have the gittery feeling, or rapid heart beat ect. that you'd normally associate with a stimulate. also the symptoms of the two are so similar that dr's often make that mistake between them. they did so for me. they told me for years i had bi-polar and for years i took the  meds but never really felt good, just good enough to satisfy them, but not me but i didnt know any better. i finally convinced them, after telling them that i didnt think they were listening to me, to give me the test for adhd. i scored 2 points from the highest score possible so i surely had adhd!now i'm taking vyvanse and i feel so much better that i know that that was my problem all along. trust your gut feeling and just take the med and see what it does for you. you will probably go thru several meds before you find the right one for you. that is a common thing among bipolar people. lithium is one of the oldest ones but it was the first one i took and it did help me. i am dual diagnosed and i  have both. so good luck and just keep on trying until you find the right one for you.
