This makes so much sense. I have found lately that is exactly what I have been doing. It didn't help although since I have lost my best pair of newly bought black tights twice in the last month BUT I bought a new pair today and talked to them and myself and now completely remember where they are and why I put them in that special place!!

Thank you

Hi Cindy,

Wonderful! I'm glad you found the tips helpful and that your new tights are safely tucked away somewhere safe and memorable. Good job!!

I have developed the habit of putting my car keys in my mouth (don't ask!) to avoid locking them in the car or leaving them in the house. I can't tell you how many times I have searched the house for my keys when they were in my mouth...really!

I liked the article, Terry. Everyone with ADHD that I know has this problem. I use a similar solution, plus some others, that I wrote in response to your article here:

Hi, I do something similar when turning off my hair straighteners. I look at a soft toy that sits nearby and say straighteners off out loud. Its the only way I know I have done it when I suddenly think of them halfway to work.
