Hi Terry, I'm learning about ADHD and my behaviors.  This post was so great that it pointed out my being creative.  That some of my behaviors are actually endeavors in creativity!  And that's not anything bad!  I never once thought I had a creative bone in my body.  Thank you.

I think you're right. I'm reminded of the saying Necessity is the mother of invention...

 

I think as the mother of a child with ADHD and Asperger Syndrome that I spend a lot more of my energy thinking about & coming up with creative solutions than I would if I did not have challenges to overcome.  I think the same is true for my son.  Life demands a lot more creativity of him and he rises to the occasion.

Yes- and raising children, especially those with special challenges, demands that we as parents think on our feet and outside the box nearly every day!
