  1. A great way to get the turkey done

    I find it easier to cook the turkey the day before, leave it over night to cool and carve it in the morning (I know, you're supposed to carve at the table, but sometimes you have to make compromises - and it's easier to carve a cold turkey).

     

    Put the carved turkey on an oven proof dish and cover in foil (to stop it drying out - you can also sprinkle a little extra water on it) and put it in the oven with the roast potatoes (buy frozen ones) to warm up.

     

    My rule is for cooking is, if you can't do everything in one go, spread each task out and warm everything up before the meal.
