When my oldest son was going through his rough time between diagnoses of ADD and Bi-polar disorder and I was beside myself thinking that maybe my son was fine maybe it was me who needs help!  My son's pediatrician told me something that will stick with me for the rest of my life!  He said that when you start blaming yourself for what your child is going through then that is when you know it is not you that needs help it is your child!  You are just placing the blame on yourself because you dont want to think anything is wrong with your child.  So to all of you parents out there that are going through this please dont place the blame on yourselves!  In fact there is no blame to place at all!  Instead look at your child in a way that others may not!  I bet instead of a "Bad" child you'll be surprised to find that children with ADHD and many other pschychiatric disorders are gifted in ways other children may not be!  Love your child for who he/she is and find the help they may need to get through these rough times!  I'm sure you will read somewhere or be told by someone that what your doing to your child is wrong!  Please ignore these comments, hold your head up high because "NO ONE" but you knows what is best for your child!
