I have been diagnosed since I was 5, and on and off meds ever since, I have finally realized that being on meds is better but I still have my quirks which get under everyones skin, my mother-in-law treats me like I'm 12 and eveyone just treats me different not like a wife,mother,26 yaer old adult...

I commend you on seeking treatment and trying to better your life. I know that in itself takes courage and it sounds as if you don't get much support, so that makes it even more difficult.
I am not sure that boys have it that much better, my son also has ADHD and bipolar and he has a very rough time with it. He finds it hard to keep a job for any length of time and is often depressed.
Anyway, you want more and although it takes work, I am sure that you can make it! You are willing to reach out and find support and I hope that we are able to offer it here. Keep writing, keep venting and keep letting us know of your progress. I am ableto appreciate all the triumphs you make, no matter how small!
