READ ME...

I´m a bit consern cause my concerta dos is over 200mg a day now, two 54 in the morning and at two, it´s time for 2 54mg more. Bisides that comes my daily dos of Ritalin witch is 70mg. One 20mg along sunrise, 20mg to have in case under the day. Five a clock, when the night is crawling, draging that black dusty filter over us, I pop my last Ritalin 30mg. This dos works perfectly on me, but all the limits in the medical books??

My doctor says that when he started treating guy that did time, ex addict etc, he notice that using max didn´t get them well, so he started skip the doses given by books and others, the mg´s went up and so did the spirits of the sick patintes.

Write someting, compare your dos against mine, tell me if this dos I have is burning my years like days, he he, thanks Marcus

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to advise you on your medication use. However, I can provide information regarding the FDA recommendations regarding Concerta and Ritalin.

The maximum dose of Concerta for adults is 108 mg per day and the maximum dose of Ritalin is 60 mg per day. Your doctor has prescribed over the maximum dosage for both medications.

Both Concerta and Ritalin are stimulant medications and may cause problems at higher doses than recommended.

Since you are concerned about your treatment, I would suggest getting a second opinion on your current treatment. You can probably contact your insurance company and ask what procedures you would need to follow in order to have a second opinion paid for by the insurance company.

I hope this helps.

Eileen
