Being ADD,and bored is hard to deal with.As I have found over ny years. And at time painful. Our Minds are without question wired very different then most peoples. So when the times come, and they will when nothing seems to pop out for us,we start saying..."Ive got to be doing something. And at those times it is so important to self talk, and say.."I must,or need to learn to understand what I'mn to be learning about now.Do I have things I'm running away from doing? And is it true, that I'm bored, and need something to do to feel content. As their is nothing"wrong",with that.Yet if we use it to run..its a lesson to be learned hear.Whats your thoughts?

Thanks for your post. Terry Matlen recently wrote a post about 10 Survival Tips for the Bored and Impatient. She explains why she feels adults with ADHD are easily bored:
"One reason why people with ADHD tend to be impatient is because of their hyperactivity, impulsivity, restlessness and nearly phobic fear of boredom. Even for the ADHD adult who doesn't have the hyperactivity/impulsivity component but instead is more inattentive, patience is often not a virtue typically seen."
Terry also offers tips to help survive those boring moments in life, such as waiting in line or getting stuck in traffic.
This is obviously a subject many adults with ADHD can relate to.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
