I am finally on the right combination of meds which includes Vyvanse 30 mg QAM and Adderral XR 10 mg Q 2:00 pm. I also take Guanfacine 1 mg bid. I am on other meds for co-morbid psychiatric and neurological disabilities which I did not list here. I absolutely must take all of my ADHD meds exactly as prescribed. I used to forget the afternoon dose but now I can feel the meds wear off so I don't forget. I am doing really well for the first time with only mild side effects. Mostly dry mouth.

I have also joined an organization called Clutterers Anonymous. It helps with 12-steps and organizational tips as well as fellowship and weekly meetings. My living conditions have improved dramatically in a matter of weeks since I found this group. I would estimate that about a third of the adult members have been diagnosed with ADHD or believe that they have the condition. 

Finally I hope to have a neuropsychologist develop a plan with an occupational therapist to remediate the serious cognitive impairments which were revealed in a test battery. I am fortunate in that I have insurance related to a work injury to pay for this. I also did two turns in a two week partial hospitalization program at Kaiser that helped considerably with adjusting my meds, socialization, and learning life and coping skills.
