How to Organize Your Child's Life

Tips to help you keep things running as smoothly as possible at home.

My son was diagnosed at a very early age with ADHD.  He has been well controlled with medication (concerta).  Now that he is 14 we had been able to reduce his medication, but then he went off of it completely - mostly to please his father who "doesn't believe" in ADHD and doesn't want his son taking pills.  I still think he needs what little he was taking to take the edge off for school and help him focus at school and with his homework.  The problem, or triumph, depending on how you look at it, is that he is coping.  But I want more for him than mere coping.   Should I just back off and let him learn new coping mechanisms on his own?
