Merely; In doing the research for my psychological autobiography I discovered the report cards my mother saved from grade school. I published these in my book. You would quickley realize I had adhd. It would have made a complete differece in my adult mental health. Regards; Jim Blaha

This is very interesting Jim. 

 

What symptoms did you notice in yourself back then?  How do you think your life would be different now had you had some sort of treatment?  Do you still have ADHD symptoms today?

Merely; In my book I use my teachers comments in my report cards from grade 2 to 7. They identify most all the symptoms used to diagnois ADHD. Today we able to prevent future serious bouts of mental illness, with meds & therapy which makes recovery not only possible but probable. Regards; Jim Blaha

I'm at my wits end with one student. She does use bad behaviour for neagtive attention, but when I 'catch her being good' she then turns it around into bad behaviour. What am I supposed to do then? She's 5 and very stubbourn, and oppositional. Rewards don't work as she doesn't care. Punishment is a bit more effective, but so disruptive to the classroom as she throws tantrums.

Any ideas?
