This is an excellent article and I hope those diagnosed, who have loved ones, friends, classmates, and coworkers take it to heart and understand that having differences is just that, a different way of looking at things, this world.
We cannot, nor want people to all be the same. We have to understand that some have learning differences, make some allowances from our way of thinking as we expect other to give us that same latitude, and try to assist and guide those who need help; not to force conformity but to help them find their place, what they're good at, just like we're all trying to do. Societies norm's should not be narrow, but wide.
I think we need reminders, here and as many places that can be reached by knowledgeable people like you, about just what ADHD means, what is behind those letters. To many, those are just a mysterious acronym. The world is full of those, but these letters, ADHD, need to show the people they stand for.
I used to laugh at Howie when he did stand up, he had found what he wanted to do. He's more successful than many of us. The guy I could never get, was Andy Kauffman. He needed his very own acronym. :)
