To say that my Max is "messy" is probably the understatement of the year.  I have been to many of my friend's houses some of whom have several children under the age of five.  But these tots have nothing on my Max as far as making a mess of their surroundings.   Right now he is into ...

At least, sometimes I think so. I will try some of these tips for myself. Not that I am messy, just, I accumulate, and occasionally have to make room by deciding what goes and what stays. I've got computer parts scattered over two rooms, in closets, in plain sight and I'll really never use them, but still, I might. :)

I assume Max thinks the same thing and I suppose he got his train parts through learning to use the screwdriver? It's the same thing really, you never know when one might come in handy.

I like organizational stores too. Places like Staples where the inventions of crafty, clever people fill the shelves with ways of sifting through the things I will need to know, or have someday, can be stored and I will instantly know where I put them. Dreams..., I have them too.

I'm glad you did this article, now is the time, because you are right, who knows what Santa will bring and he doesn't worry about where we will put it. Seriously, it must be hard to convince Max to part with treasures, it is with any child. Even big ones. :)

HA!  Really?  You have computer parts in all your rooms?  I would not have the first clue about taking apart anything including a computer.  There must be something in the male genes to wish to take apart things.  Well we have a container of screws from all these trains he takes apart...he likes to add different components from different trains together making new creations and then he paints them.  His passion for trains has lasted...well...his whole life.

I too am messy.  I guess each person's mess makes sense to him or her.  It is when you cannot find things or start tripping over all the junk or no longer have room...when it is a problem.

Thanks so much for talking about your own messy behavior...makes me feel better about what Max does...a little.
