Experts generally agree that a poor diet cannot cause ADHD and a good one cannot cure it. But does diet have an effect on ADHD? Chances are that certain foods, drinks and substances will have some effect. Some are negative, some are positive, and some are a little bit of both.

I guess I shouldn't be suprised that a site like this (whose advertisers are pharm companies) would present a piece like this. Completely leaving out all the research Dr. Benjamin Feingold did over 40 years ago on the effects of artificial additives on children / hyperactivity. And there have been numerous other studies - go to www.adhddiet.org and click on "Scientific Studies" on the top left.
This is just.....wow. That's all I can say, I hope parents will do research and know there are alternatives to medicating their children. Alternatives that work.
I'm sorry, but I must be missing something, since I don't see any connection between what I wrote and the pharmaceutical companies, given that it was about how substances that we find in food and drink affect ADHD. And given that I did not mention anything about artificial sweeteners, I'm very puzzled as to why you raised the topic.
But I'm not surprised that the link you provided sends us to a commercial site. Can you point us to any sites that are not commercial?
The site mentioned is not a commercial site! It is the website of a support group for families using the Feingold diet. The research she mentions is worth checking out.
