I have been looking for years for this therapy for my now 13 year old son, there is no place in my area that offers this kind of therapy.

I've run into the same problem with therapy to help my son socialize better. I think in that case, the best thing we as parents can do is find some books that have exercises we can do with our kids. There aren't a lot of books on the topic, but one is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with ADHD Children: Child, Family, and School Interventions.

Deborah, with all due respect.  I don't think you've checked out all the literature.  ADHD is NOT wholly chemical.  It has sensory/motor imbalances, nutritional, food sensitivities, behavioral and other issues which can exist concurrently with the lack of dopamine or norepinephrine (which is what I assume you meant by "wholly chemical".

hello i av a 4yr old! whos hipo wont mix with children in shool only on his terms wont listearn to the teachers he hides under tables he also blinks alot drinks alot only wants 2 watch tv !!he been usin his bedroom as a toilet he also as habbits were he sniffs an makes nosiys!!confused is this normal ?he as no inpact on danger he runs of an hides when we go shoppin!!he also wont play with toys at home!!the teacher thinks my son as adhd!!
