Letting Things Slip through the Cracks at Work

I let the most bizarre things fall through the cracks. At home it's usually something small, like when I was steeping herbs in olive oil, and left them in the jars for over a year (it should have only been a month or so). At work it's usually something small too. Not all the time, but frequently enou...

I can totally relate. I am a stay at home mother of 3 girls and a husband (that makes four children Laughing). I constantly will think of an appointment or errand that I want to do or HAVE to do but for some reason I dont do it when I think of it. I will say I need to call and reschedual my eye exam, the phone will be right next to me, but if a commercial for Tide comes on the TV I will get up and change the loads in the laundry room that should have been changed the day before. Its not a major priority, just something I need to do. I have known about my girlfriends baby shower for 8 months and I wait until the day of to go get her gift and then wrap it in the car when I arrive at the location.  Now if its something that excites me or I find really interesting or involves knowledge that I dont have I will spend all day learning, researching, making phone calls etc. until its done. I have a hard time with prioritizing and execution and time managment.  The people who suffer are my children and husband. The girls miss out on birthday parties because I double book in my head with another event, or they have to deal with my rushing them out the door because oops mommy forgot she said she would bring a salad to papa's house for dinner. I have done it my entire life so I hope its the ADHD. I tried writing things down but then I would misplace the notpad I was using. Great post, I am going to make my eye appointment today, Thanks!

I think it's the ADHD. The thing about putting stuff off like making appointments is totally me. It's just so boneheaded. I don't understand how these things get overlooked when I think about them a few times a day.
