Drugs I am Taking

methylphenidate 10mg 5x/day while dexmethylphenidate (Focalin) 10mg is on back order,  Zoloft 100mg ii in AM,  Xanax 1mg 2x/day as needed,  Dolophine 100mg 3x/day,  Roxicodone 30mg ii 3x/day,  Skelaxin 800mg 4x/day as needed.

About Me

Dx of OCD in elementary school controlled with self control and then well controlled after beginning Zoloft. ADHD controlled with Ritalin when in school then was told I had "grown out" of ADHD my senior year in high school. I knew by my performance in nursing school and my job that I still had ADHD but when I asked for Ritalin from my new doctor he said "adults don't have ADHD, you must be drug seeking!" Fortunately I found a fat doctor that prescribed Desoxyn for my obesity and over night my ADHD symptoms disappeared! Diet pills in the amphetamine class were outlawed for use where I live and my ADHD symptoms quickly reappeared. My doctor put me on a diet pill that was similar to amphetamine (phentermine hcl). It helped some but nothing like the Desoxyn. Fast forward 20 years and I discovered a psychiatrist that specializes in the treatment of adults with ADHD!!! He has used several different stimulant drugs in varying doses which have all worked well but the recent increase in my pain medicine (Dolophine) to 100mg 3x/day seems to interfere with the effectiveness of my ADHD medicine. I would like to ask him to let me do a trial of Desoxyn but I fear he will not like the idea and may possibly send me packing.
