I have ADD and have struggled with it all my life.  Over time, I have learned to cope the best I can, but still it's difficult.  I have lost a few jobs b/c of not being able to stay focused and on top of things.  Plus, just to be able to keep a job, requires doing lots of work at home or staying late at the office.  This is very unfair to my family.  I lost my father in September 2007.  His death was unexpected and he had been the primary caregiver for my mother (she had a severe stroke about 3 yr's ago and requires 24 hr care).  I have been unemployed since 12/27/07 b/c of having to care for my mother in her home in VA / also at my home in TN.  On top of that, I also had to care for my youngest son.  Slowly over the past 2 yr's, he became increasingly depressed and also with major anxiety.  He could not walk up the steps to enter his school, and there was not way to of ever had him walk through the school intrance door!  His school provided homebound schooling & homebound therapy.  An adult (me) had to be home during all these time frames, b/c school personnel cannot be alone at home with a child.  I also had him in private therapy twice weekly and took him to see his psychistrist frequently.  What a life!  I'm not trying to get back into work and I want to do marketing for a home health company.  Wish me luck!
