Managing relationships while at least one person has ADHD may not be the easiest task. ADHD can be misunderstood, and the symptoms of ADHD can often derail a relationship. Between hyperactivity, inattention, impulsivity or volatile emotions, ADHD patients face some obstacles in making and maintaining friendships. Teaching those around you about your ADHD is the key to understanding. Also consider teaching yourself about the condition - attempt to fix those attributes that may stand in the way of successful relationships and take appropriate action towards managing the condition.
