Thank you for your question and welcome to HealthCentral's ADHD Community.
I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.
I would suggest speaking with your doctor before stopping your daughter's medication. He may suggest slowly cutting down her medication over a period of a few weeks to make sure there are not any problems. While most people can stop this type of medication without experiencing any symptoms, some people do have symptoms similar to withdrawal: headache, fatigue, irritability. Because of this, your doctor should be aware that your daughter is no longer taking the medication, that way, should there be any additional problems.

I am just a little curious as to why you think she should come off of the medication. If your daughter's physician seems to think that she no longer has ADD or ADHD, then I would think he would instruct you on how to 'wean' her off the medication. If you want to take her off because of some pseudo-scientific info then I would ask yourself if you think that it is fair to ask her to cope with puberty and high school AND untreated ADD?
