is extended sleep (14-16 hours at a time) a symptom of ritalin overdose?

My daughter is taking Ritalin, and while visiting us, slept for 75% of the 3 days she was here. She called today and claims she overdosed on Ritalin to explain her behavior. Nothing I've read indicates that long sleeping periods are symptomatic of OD-ing.--in fact just the opposite. I'm confused!...
