Q: is paranoia or persecution attitude add related

my husband has been on meds for 2 yrs. but in the 20yrs i've known him , theres this weird twist in his thinking for example if i buy him a shirt a week or a month later he'll say i'm telling him how to dress...if another driver cuts him off he says that guy is trying to make him look like an a-hole...recently i found his all time favorite old video game. unfortunately it turned out to be for a system he didn't have. he said nothing for 3 days and then told me i did it on purpose because i wanted to piss him off by giving him a gift he couldn't use.  i haven't found anything to suggest this is part of ADD but i don't know what it is...he's also left our marriage 9 times generally every 2 yrs to " get his life back " and always comes back telling me he doesn't know why he left.

Jane:  from what I've read this often can be tied to other possible conditions, though ADD I'm sure doesn't help.

This is absolutely a great question and one you should not hesitate to ask your doctor.
