How horrible. As a parent we tend to become defensive when our children are attacked (not necessarily physicaly). If the school is aware of your childs problem but refuses to work with them, my first suggestion would be to have a meeting with the principle and other staff members. If this fails i would then suggest contacting the district. There could be other issues the school is not telling you about. My last resort would be to switch schools.
