Hi Betsy: There are several tips that can be offered to people with organization troubles. If you are referring to general organization, that is, accomplishing tasks, then you can make a daily list, put your tasks in order according to most important first, place a little box next to each item and them do them in order. Put a little "X" or check mark in each box when they are done. Place the toughest things first, that will keep fatigue, frustration or boredom from stopping the completion of your tasks. You do the hard part first, then everything else is easy! This will reward you for doing a good job, and it feels good, too!

Second, if you are talking about organizing your closet or cabinets, you "chunk it down" that is, do it in sections to prevent you from being overwhelmed by huge jobs. Three other things that you can consider, buy a good book on organizing, consider hiring a coach (more expensive, and time consuming) or find a neurofeedback specialist (which I am) who can teach you to retrain your brain to function in a more organized manner (even more expensive, and takes even more time). To learn more about ADHD find a CHADD chapter in your neck of the woods and go to the free meetings. To learn more about Neurofeedback, check out my website, www.neurofeedbackofmaryland.com . Hope this helps!
