Is the Amphetamine Salt (5mg) my doctor prescribed me working right?

Stella

I am 25 yo and have just been diagnosed. This medication helps me focus and get ready in the morning but wears off mid morning. I have also found that it makes me really mellow and not as talkative at work. I was just wondering if this is what is should be doing or not.

I'm 52 ("Adult ADD") and that's what it does for me. Isn't that what you hoped for? Cool

I had to start taking another 1/2 pill at lunchtime to continue focussed til my special ed students went home at 2:30. Unfortunately I upped it to the original 10 mg bid and since I have a heart history (no attack or high BP) - arrhythmia, I started having PVCs and getting light headed so I'm weaning myself off and plan to increase my Fish Oil and Ginko Biloba to see if higher doses will help in the absence of the Amphetamine salts.

I have taken 30mg amphetamine salt twice a day for the last five years.  The 30mg dose seems to be effective for about 6 to 8 hours. When I started my doctor increased the dosage at each med check untill we felt I had effective dosage. I also

have tried time release capsules which I thought was very ineffective.
