Dasani   Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com. It sounds as if you are having some problems with your son. What types of consequences do you place on your son when he does not listen to your requests? If you are allowing him to laugh at you and walk out and not giving any consequences for his lack of respect, then he has no reason to do so. You will need to decide on what your household rules are and what the consequences are for not following the rules.   Dr. Ari Tuckman talked to me at length about parenting adolescents and young adults. The information he shared with me might be of help to you:   Parenting Teens and Young Adults   For more information on teens with ADHD:   Raising a Teen with ADHD   When Teens with ADHD are Defiant   I hope this information helps   Eileen
