Q: Is focalin an amphetamine

My grandson is taking focaline xr, and I would like to know if this drug is an amphetamine.

Focalin is a stimulant medication. The main ingredient of this medication is dexmethylphenidate. Methylphenidate is the main ingredient found in Ritalin and Concerta as well.
