Thank you for your quesion and welcome to ADHDCentral.com. Depression and ADHD have many overlapping symptoms, such as the ones you mentioned: trouble concentrating and focusing. It is also possible, and common, for someone to have both ADHD and depression. There are some online screening tests for ADHD. These should not be used for diagnostic purposes but you can print out the results and take with your doctor as a way to start a discussion, if the online screening points to a possibility of ADHD.
