My wife can identify ADHD in me. My PCP is the one who thinks I don't have it. But he is keeping an open mind to it. He wants to treat me for OCD with Paxill first and see how that goes and re-evaluate next Dr's visit.
I found alot of info on adhd by just doing a google search. If it's not enough try asking your Dr. maybe he or she can help somehow. I hope I helped you a little.
I understand completely your frustration. I kept my decision to put my daughter on medication private from family. The undenialble truth about her diagnosis was more than evident in the immediate change in behavior and concentration. She became so enjoyable to be with, confident, and responsible, there was really no way for them to doubt what her pediatrician and I had already known. Besides, the only thing that mattered to me was that my daughter did not become sad statistic of an undiagnosed child with ADD.
