Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

Most children with ADHD attend a regular school. Some children with ADHD receive special accommodations or modifications in the classroom or at school to help with specific problems they may be having as a result of their ADHD. Other children with ADHD require no special accommodations or modifications and do well in school.

Whether or not your son would be eligible for special services would depend on the severity of his ADHD and how much it interferes with his ability to learn in the classroom.

YES. Dont let them tell you diffrent. My son is 7 with ADD&ADHA he is in the second grade and doing well in a regular school. Im not sure what state you in but im in Michigan in the schools here there are lot to help your child. Once your child has started school ask for an IEP this is a miner test they will do with your child and this will help the teachers help your child better knowing what areas are needing more help then others and this will also help giver your child exter teachers and time for thing they need help on. Once you go to your firts IEP meeting you will feel so much better and its all up hill from there!
