Q: how to get a good second opinion

I would like to know how to approach someone, MD, for a second opinion when I have one Psychiatrist, MD, that said I do not have ADD, with out testing, and a Psychologist, PHD, with testing that I do have ADD. How do you approach another Psychistrist to ensure you get a straight answer?

I talked to my friends to find out who they were seeing and what they thought of their doctor. Call your insurance company to find out what the procedure is for a 2nd opinion. My insurance allows me to pick the mental health professional I want without a referral, as long as they are an approved provider. Tell them you want a another opinion because you are getting differing opinions forn the 2 medical  professionals you have seen.
