Does anyone have any personal experience with the Spect scan or Dr. Amen's clinics for ADHD child?

My son is almost 7 and was diagnosed over 2 years ago with ADHD (extremely impulsive) and some other undiagnosed condition that exhibits as aggression/anger.  He has been this way since birth, no fall or blow to the head.  Has a twin brother who does not have these same problems.  He is currently on Adderall XR for school and Zoloft for the aggression.  They are helping, but something is just not right.  I feel like a huge piece of the puzzle is missing and I feel like we're just reaching in the dark, experimenting with this and that to see what might help him.  He is exceptionally bright and creative, but a danger to himself and others most of the time.  He's always in trouble at school and is getting labeled as a "bad" kid by some of the other children and parents.   In the mornings and after the meds wear off he's a monster to his brother and just out of control.  I'm worried about his self esteem.  I've been looking at Dr. Amen's brain scan and his theories and treatments in his books and they seem like a radical approach, yet we are at the point where traditional methods and practices just don't feel complete.  I'm very concerned that we are missing something that could really help him.

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com

Although I have spoken with Dr. Amen a few times for interview purposes, I do not have any personal experience with either his diagnostic process or his treatment.

Dr. Amen combines traditional medication treatments for ADHD with nutritional supplements.
